My friends,
I have a rather special post today. You see, it’s been a pretty emotional few weeks. I highly doubt it’s over, as I’m still facing many new challenges testing my energy, strength, and endurance… but out of many recent challenges I faced, this video was born.
I got the idea for this video, because I wanted to talk about what it REALLY TAKES to keep you going through the toughest of times, and the most daunting obstacles. I wanted to get past the ‘Surface Motivation’ that so many of us seem to have, and really hit upon what is 10000x more powerful then surface motivation. I do this by sharing with you my own story, of what keeps me going through even the toughest times when I don’t know If I’m truly able to do it.
After you are finished watching this video, or during it, there’s something special I want you to do…
I want you to LEAVE the BIGGEST reason you are building your business, spending your time learning new goals, researching how to succeed, and developing yourself into an entrepreneur.
Tell me WHY you are doing it. I want you to leave your Intentions, and your most meaningful reason so that you voice it to YOURSELF, you clarify it within yourself, but you also voice it to the WHOLE community… thereby giving it more power, and holding yourself more accountable.
Lets use this blog, as a way to etch into HISTORY your deepest goals… so that you will never forget, and never stop pushing forward to achieve them. The power of this is tough to put into words, and I can’t wait to hear all the amazing intentions, aspirations, and love filled GOALS I’m sure you all have for yourself, and your families.

Hello Jonathan my friend -
I have come to understand that when we are on this truly glorious path of being completely connected to Source/God/Universe (however each one refers to the ever present energy) sometimes we feel those moments of sadness for the upheaval the human species has unconsciously (and I agree, very selfishly) brought itself to. However I then have the very next moment of feeling completely excited and inspired that now more than ever more and more people are finally on this amazing path of becoming more internally aware and externally conscious and caring. I feel the shift!
This brings me to what fuels my purpose and passion and what propels me forward every day (even when I just want to curl up and cry like I wanted to today!)… what inspired my sweetie and I to release an unfulfilling half million dollar business and many other material things that for many people are the dreams and desires they are currently striving for… or what miraculously rejuvenates my energy even if I have had only 5 hours of sleep.
My soul partner, Darsana, and I are magnificently blessed to have been chosen as parents to the three most incredibly amazing and inspiring children in the Universe! Tony, Jivani and Jamaili are our daily teachers of the true meaning of life and love and they are our driving force behind living our life dedicated to fulfilling our purpose and passion of elevating every person possible to more soulful, loving and sustainable relationships with each other, animals, nature and the planet resulting in the greatest positive impact for ALL beings!
We have to be the change we wish to see in this world and I personally want my precious children to know and feel every day that their mom and dad are truly grateful to God/Universe for the divine gift of being healthfully alive in this magnificent vehicle we call our body to love and cherish them, life, and every other being on this planet.
And it is our family’s joy to be a master example, a loud voice and passionate activists in teaching this to others!
This is what rocks my world and keeps me moving through my own internal fears (which are completely false and fabricated lies of my own mind) everyday stepping into my dream of being more fully me to be more fully present to Celebrating Life!

On about June 20th, I started looking for an Internet network marketing training, and throughout my research, I went through many different types of companies who were doing exactly what you do, and I took the time to get some informations from many of them, …but you made a difference my friend, I just had this feeling that we had many things in common, and it seems to me that the more I was watching your videos, the more I could relate myself to you, and I am sure that many people do. Anyway, that video above is like a revelation to me, I know for sure now, that I made the right choice by choosing you as my mentor in true Internet marketing, I feel like I’m at the right place at the right moment, and your help will allow me to pursue my goal which is to live on a ranch with my girlfriend and our two young children, and be able to provide lots of quality time to them, while being able to financially help them, my love ones and my community shall they be in need. I also have a big hearth and I love to give when it’s possible to do so, everyone who knows me know it.

I must say when I look at you when your in the zone I can feel your passion and that is exactly what I am striving for.
I started out before I even came across Jonathan Budd as a skeptical person trying to make a lot of money because supposedly any one can on the internet.
Wow was I wrong.
There is so much more involved it is mind blowing at times, yet I have learned so much about myself as a person, father, and husband.
I have learned more than I can explain in just the few short months I have known you.
Ya you teach a lot of business stuff, but all the life lessons in between is what it is all about.
You have woken me up and I can’t thank you enough.
Even if I can’t accomplish Jonathan Budd status I will know in my heart that I have had the best mentor along the way.
My vision is to learn what ever I can to empower myself to wake up out of the fog of the life we were taught to live, and live the life I know I’m suppose to have.

Why am I searching for freedom? Financial Freedom?
What drives me?
It’s not really for the financial reasons.
It’s not even for friends or family. Although those are byproducts that I will be thankful for.
This is really personal. What drives me is a younger
version of me. When I was 15 I was selected “Most Likely To Succeed” in the 8th grade. If I were to pick up that, lol, 1995 yearbook, I would be disappointed and inspired at the same time.
There were times in my life when I tried to forget that moment or even resented it. Especially in high school. I would get rebellious within myself or I would push past exhaustion.
I have a lot to be thankful for but something is keeping me from being completely content. In a sense, I have always felt pressure that was somewhat paralyzing. I would either run away from “myself” or take on so much by myself that .. I just freeze up …
I have found moderate successes and great moments in my current profession. I’ve also touched failures more than I wanted.
At some point…about a year ago…the business bug bit me hard. The online business bug…
A part of me is saying get out of it. No one believes in you. It’s impossible.
(These words are falling short of the feelings…)
The other part of me is saying. DO the impossible. Touch freedom. Kiss your dreams. Embrace abundance. And get a “Thank You” from the younger version of me.

Man, what a heartfelt message!
Me, what I am looking to be doing, is to be in a position where I can bring help and comfort to those who I come in contact with. That would mean to be a philanthropic-type.
See, I have been adopted by the LORD and as a child of His I am to take care of His sheep.
I have had real sheep and they can be really ungrateful for what is done for them, but yet it needs to be done.
If I can spread this to others and they in turn spread it, then the end of the world as we know it won’t matter. We will be in a new place that is promised in the Word.
So, to get to this road I need to take some routes to get to the highway, meaning that I need to be financially able to help them. Currently I am tied-up in gridlock, but I think I have my “GPS” set to detour, thanks to you

Thanks for the video. You continue to inspire me, but I would like to tell my story of what motivates me.
Ever since high school, I have been an extremely motivated person, especially in college. Directly after college I got the one and only job that I thought that I wanted, got married about 9 months later, and thought that I would spend the majority of my life headed down that same road. About three years past and my wife took me out to dinner one evening, and she shared her heart with me about the man that I had become. She told me that she felt that I had settled, that I had lost my drive for practically everything. I hadn’t yet realize it, but that evening made me take a hard look at everything in my life. WOW!!! What I quickly realized brought me to tears, and even as I type this I feel the same emotion poring in. I realized what had happened, and quickly began searching for answers. I came across you, Jayson, and Katie about a month or so ago. Thank God that I did. Through one of Katie’s videos, I found Steve Pavlina’s blog and read a blog entitled “The Courage To Live Consciously”. Reading this blog completely changed my life and outlook.
You asked why I am passionate about what I’m doing. My first passion lies with my family. I finally see the opportunity to fulfill the dreams of my family. Not only financially, but the opportunity to become a family that actually gets to enjoy each other and not have regrets when my little ones aren’t so little any longer.
The second thing that drives me is the desire to show people what I have learned about myself. I know that there are so many like me out there! If I can only help them realize their true potential. If I could only help them see that they don’t have to settle for the life that they currently have. With a little courage, they too can overcome the obstacles holding them back in life.

Thanks Jon for this video. My situation relates so much with yours. I too am going through a transition. It’s tuff.
It is so easy to get discouraged and lose your motivation. My discouragement is when people/ haters bash me. It really hurts especially when I feel like I had done everything I could to help them out.
My best friend and mentor says my biggest weakness is that I try to help every single person I come across with. I do understand that I wont be able to help everyone, and I also know there will always be haters. But it still hurts when there are bashers and haters…
Sometimes I feel like people dont appreciate what we do. But we must overcome and move forward.
This is why I chose to change my entire system from what it use to be. Maybe it was my fault I couldn’t
help every person, maybe it wasn’t. But what I do know is that its for the better. For my family, friends, and
for every person I come across in the future.

I can relate to your desire to help “everyone” you meet. I used to be that way, but I have learned that it was my only way of feeling good about myself, instead of learning about myself and who I really am and what I REALLY wanted out of life…..and what I wanted to give back to others.
I now only help those who truly want it and ask for it……
Through many painful experiences, I realize there are many people who DO NOT want help at all……..they just want to keep “sucking the life from someone else”. They never actually take actiion on the suggestions given to them. They are always in VICTIM mode….
I was in RESCUE mode………and we were both stuck. Have you ever heard of the word, co-dependent? It is when we place everyone’s else’s needs above our own to the point of losing ourselves………and NO ONE benefits.
What good can we be to others if we don’t know who we are…….or our purpose in life and we haven’t learned to love ourselves? When God said to love our neighbours as ourselves HE is assuming we LOVE ourselves, but I had it backwards for years. I was loving everyone else and hating myself. We can not love anyone else UNTIL we have learned to love and accept ourselves……warts and all.
The book, “CO-Dependent NO More”, by Melodie Beattie gave me the tools to completely change my life and stop rescueing people..maybe it will help you too?

I will be 60 in December, When I was around your age, I made a commitment to understand this life , and I feel I have understood a lot, it seems to me that there are very few people in this world who are free, Freedom means different things to different people, to me Freedom is “Seeing” Seeing things as they really are, not freedom from something, Financial success is not freedom, its “Independence” I feel its possible to be totally free and not have much money, but if a person who is free, if he or she can become financially successful they can protect that freedom and so be more creative in this world. than if they had less money, I am sure there are people on earth who are really successful who are spiritual, and they do good, but there are those who are successful financially, who are not spiritual, who hide behind their bank accounts, but fear remains in their hearts, to me such people will never be free.

Hey Jonathan thanks for sharing that with us. You are right about this world it just seems to be going down a path where life doesn’t mean much anymore. People will literally just shoot first and ask questions later not even thinking of what they just did. And it seems that the violence is really impacting our kids. I am raising a beautiful 4 year old girl and handsome 9 year old and it’s really scary because you know that you can’t always be there to protect them. I mean there are some really sick people out there that don’t care about age or innocence. I worry about the kids of this world. The internet really exposes them to things that as i grew up you would have to really really dig to find or just couldn’t. These days you google anything imaginable and BAM it’s right there. How to build this, how to blow up that, how to get away with a crime, it’s crazy. Well i guess it’s just like going from cassette to cd you have to adapt with the times and just do the best you can. Our leaders are so crooked who can you trust. Only God i guess!
Anyways i am seeking freedom for my kids sake. Like i said you can’t always be there but having the freedom to work from home will allow you to pick them up and take them to school instead of riding a bus where the busdriver makes $5 an hour and doesn’t care if your kid is getting picked on or whatever. I will be able to attend school functions and let my kids know that their dad does care and that teacher will see that my kids are loved and hopefully she will go that little extra to take care of them and keep them safe even though we ask teachers to do too much as is already for not enough pay.
Well thats what drives me. Plus that 2009 mercedes sl65 renntech was made for me LOL!

WOW – great video Jonathan! Your energy has grown so much from the time of your early recordings but the essential nature has always shined through. Keep up the great work!
OK – and thanks for the opportunity for me to state here first what has been brewing in my life in the last week or so and where i am coming from. I DO need to verbalize what is brewing inside of me.
I am a product of the 60s. I never lost touch with my roots but through necessity or what i thought was necessity, i allowed or channeled myself down a career in Corporate America. Believe me I know that movie “The Corporation” only too well.
Still, I always tried to stay true to myself but i adopted many structures that weren’t quite true just in order to provide for my loved ones.
Now at the end of it all, i am bankrupted, no savings, house in foreclosure, abandoned by my wife – who i still love dearly, about to lose my car and what little else is still attached, facing false charges and false child support claims which i have physical proof are untrue – but the systems is SO slow in responding, an unemployed 55+ IT executive professional with so little money left that i even wonder if i am sane in trying to invest it wisely into a direct marketing venture.
However, something still seems to be right though and keeps pulling me back this way while i keep telling myself that i will lose what little headway i have gained in trying to become employed once again and also perhaps confuse myself and the universe on my true intents.
In this recent adventure or “challenge quest” i had the opportunity to read a book called In Search of the Perfect Job. It lead me down some interesting investigations concerning who i am – what are my personal core values.

It is worksheet #12 that really impacted me. Worksheet # 14 (personal/professional strengths) did as well.
I discovered that in terms of satisfaction in living my core values that 2/3s were OK – not great but about a B average and that one third wasn’t OK C or D average.
So on a scale of one to ten (ten being an A) and in order of importance to me here they are.
Core Values
1. Love = 7
2. Joy = 6
3. Peace = 7
4. Insight = 8
5. Intelligence = 8

I think i can get there through this vehicle of helping others to be successful, perhaps recovering the meaning, love, joy, peace and fun that has been missing so much in my life of late.

I have been listening to Sam Crowley and he speaks about the very same issues that you are going over. Which is to get to the real core of why you are here, what brought you to this planet and what are you TRULY committed to. I will share a few of our intentions.
Of course the first thing that is the most important for me is to get my wife out of her nursing job, so that we can travel the world and simply have more time freedom in our lives. That is my primary intention, to set her free to enjoy her life everyday with our awesome dogs. To purchase a motorhome and travel the entire US and Canada while working our mobile business.
These are the most important parts of our immediate goals, but the larger intention is to see how many people that we can help to find their true passion and intention along the way. We also feel that we are in a position of time and financial freedom and have the responsibility to assist more people in Africa, Asia and the other countries that are truly struggling just to receive food each day. We sponsor a child now, but as you mention -our leaders are doing a horrible job – and there is so much to be done, just ask Bono. This simply cannot be done if you are spending your entire days toiling at a job.
There is so much more that can be said here and I will continue to expand on our own goals and intentions. Thanks for giving us a forum to clearly define our true intentions to your community and to the world, you are one empowered individual that is spending your time and power wisely.

Hey Jonathan – What a wise head on young shoulders! I have been building a global Amway business, mainly building in the UK for more years than I’m to admitt – its long – trust me! I know what its like to face frustration but I also know what its like to have the exhilaration that comes with the achievement of a goal. Whether its mine or someone in my team.
To really experience achievement, and celebrate accordingly, is the best way to spend ones life! Every day I am encouraging my leaders to think how it will be when we are celebrating the achievement of their goals.
My reasons for building an income that provide freedom are really simple. I am a horse trainer – a professional for 30 years who has got it all so wrong. 6 years ago, I stumbled across a far superior way of being able to connect with our equine friends and really make them want to do what we are asking of them rather than forcing them to. I have to make the investment in my own education. Its a ton of money to do that and will take a lot of time away from my family. Now then, I have a hard working husband whos efforts I appreciate. Its not fair on him, if I go swanning off to the USA to the international study centre in Colorado and leave him with the work, the house, the kids, the garden, the farm that we have. It just wouldn’t go down well at all, and yet I KNOW I have to go there. If I can make a STACK of money – enough for him to quit his job, since the mortgage would be paid off and also leave enough in the pot to pay for hired help etc then I could be really free to persue my passion. Which is the love of the horse. I want to take my message all over the world. Also, by achieving huge success in my Amway business I would be able to truely inspire others to do the same. There are so many people out there that need help to be free from the daily grind. I am dedicated to helping those in my team that are prepared to help themselves and feel so grateful to be a part of their lives.
Over the years, I have had people offering to sponsor my trip to the USA but that would take away the indescribable joy I will have of achieving the goal for myself. Its strange, that not even a lottery win would change my mind!!

What motivates me to build my business is the anticipation of financial freedom so that I can release from the anguish and stress that comes from the pressures of debt. I consider myself a giving person, but not to the extent that I consider satisfactory to myself. I gave flowers to an elder woman (55 yrs older than me) last week that I reunited with after not seeing her for many years. The feeling of giving that woman flowers knowing what it meant to her made me walk on clouds. From a financial stand point, I want to be able to buy every person in that nursing home flowers, to know that I made at least one day of theirs joyful. I love to give, whether it is information, my experiences, tactics, my heart and soul. I love to give. I have been an entrepenuer my entire working life. I also love to learn. Learning something new everyday keeps life exciting. Interacting and communicating with people is exciting, whether it is learning about them or them learning something about me. Jonathan, to answer your question of why the debt exist? I own a traditional business which I relied on an employee to care for my finances to an extent. To say the least they screwed me, big time. Not Pennies. That is one of the reasons that I decided to venture into the MLM industry. Not to make a quick buck, but to do something that is solely on MY shoulders. No one else can take anything away from me unless I make the mistake myself. I am 34 yrs old, but my experiences exceed a 70 yr olds. Todays economy in a traditional business is so extremely scary, not to say that MLM is recession proof, but I beleive it to be more fulfilling and gratifying. (even when the money is not what I hope it to be yet) It is not really about the money, QUALITY of life would be so much better without my traditional business. I feel like I am in a therapy session. Thanks for the mindset training once again. I am driven. I am motivated. In that internet marketing is now a science, it is the creative aspects that I like. Creative aspects for me are the resulting from originality of thought, expression, interaction, learning, teaching, and gaining satisfaction from accomplishment. The challenges make it much more fulfilling than any 9-5 job ever could. It’s like I am painting a masterpiece and I have to concentrate on the brush strokes on a small corner of the painting. As I work on the colors and learn how to mix the paint to achieve the exact real life colors and textures and then transfer them to the canvas, a picture of the future is emerging.
I of course will have to consult with others with whom I will associate to have them help and guide me and give me perspective to the process of finishing the painting. And it will be those relationships that I end up fostering that will determine whether my painting is a masterpiece. I can’t do it myself and when I do finish the painting, it will be because of those with whom I trusted and shared my passions. The success will be reciprocal as one of my passions is to help people understand and achieve things that they didn’t know they could archive or thought unattainable. My way is perfect only for me. But there are things I can offer that will help others and in return I will learn form others.
In the end, I want to be able to help people and kids in some of the eastern Europe countries that would make a typical U.S. minimum wage job seem like a mufti 6 figure job here. Outside of the main cities there are families that live on $50 a month, don’t have a water heater, use outhouses still, and live the life our parents and grandparents lived in the 30′s. There are orphanages whose conditions are deplorable at best, and run by corrupt governments and bureaucracy were little ends up directly benefiting the children. That’s my dream. to see the smile of some happy children who are the happiest they’ve been in their lives just because I bought them all some new shoes.

In a word, I want to create legacy. I used to want to achieve freedom in order to live life on my own terms – to be able to tell the world to jump if I wanted to. Legacy meant having something that people would remember me for. Legacy was unitary and had one focus, me.
When I got married and had my sons, I realized that I was living for others. I found the quote “there is but one lasting bequest that we can give our children, one is roots, the other wings.” My desire was to create a legacy that lived on through them.
As I have been trying to raise them, I have encouraged them to find their inner “I” and follow it, rather than latching on to what the world tells them they should be. I try to let teach them that that “I” is not the same as “me”, but rather about using their natural wiring to contribute to the world. This is opposed to letting the world tel them how to be an important “me”.
One day it hit me that I needed to live what I was telling them, too. It occurred to me that legacy was about the number of people one can leave a lasting impression upon, an impression that impacts them for the good. Legacy is viral, if you let it be. It is not intended to be a mirror to shine light back on the original instigator, rather a raging pattern of cause and effect that reaches far beyond anyone’s ability to recall what started it. The origin is not important, the effect is critical.
I want to create a forest fire that will ignite people I touch to inspire people I may never meet to make significant positive impacts on the lives of others in places I will never go. I want to help people grow roots in vibrant soil, and nourish their strength, and inspire them to soar in flight to places they dream and to bring others with them in formation.
I feel it Chip. I feel it my friend…

If someone feel confused about what their purpose may be in life, I can share with you what have helped me come to a complete realization. If you commit to live in every second through your thoughts, words and actions that is in full alignment with the highest thought that you may have of yourself, you will find a place in you that you perhaps didn`t know existed. If you seek that truth, it`s impossible to not find that higher state of consciousness.

Thanks for your current leadership based on TRUTH. I base my TRUTH on the foundational relationship with my God and Savior Jesus Christ and His Word and not based on any religion or governmental official. Although, I am biblically bound to obey those in government ruling over me.

Hello…again you always make me feel so positive about things. Right now my intentions in life are several things going at once. I am raising my two grandsons and that was one reason I wanted a home business as so I would not have to have anyone else raise them. I used to work outside the home until I took on the responsablity of my two grandsons 3 years ago. So i worked hard to learn the computer world at least some of it so I could stay home. Well that has been so so as I still cannot grasp all this tech stuff so easy. Matter a fact when I signed up for online mlm I had all the intentions of doing all you taught but could never seem to get my get response and mlm to connect together. I don’t know what I was not doing but nothing ever became about so I dropped my membership so I would not have another bill I could not afford. I am so glad to have joined you in your blogs tho…I love to listen to you Jonathan. Why I do what I do? I have a home that is eligible for Extreme Makeover home edition! I also have 6 kids. 2 are adopted. We never intended on having so many kids, but my husband and I were blessed and god has chosen our path for us. So I haven’t been able to put alot of time lately into my business. But I’ve been motivated lately to build my income up again, with my oldest going off to college and my 8 month old son needing his own room soon, I really need to get my house fixed up.

Why oh Why? a question I ask myself constantly. I think for me it has to be the challenge, a life without challenges for me would be so dull. I have a wonderful supportive husband but I’m just not a sit around filing my nails kinda gal, sometimes I wish I was. I went into MLM by accident and it was all because I love and really believe in the companys products, having always worked in the skincare industry this was a natural transition for me, I really love and enjoy this business but MLM really does challenge and stretch you in ways you may never have been stretched or challenged before, but if you do it with real passion for what you are doing that allows you to stretch that extra mile towards success. That passion and belief in what I’m doing is what motivates and drives ME.
