  1. Carstarphen says:

I don’t think anyone likes the egotistical leader.

I think some of that pride and ego might come from the sacrifice and struggle that those leaders endured on their road to success.

Thank you for developing the tools and systems that can finally help people get to the level of success in Network Marketing where they can look beyond immediate and physical concerns to start to become the type of new leaders that you describe in the video.

  3. Good post Jonathan, To me it sounds like you are saying what the bible says without saying GOD though. I believe that meditation has caused you to win the war with your mind. If you walk in the spirit then you will have the heart and the mind connection that everyone is supposed to have to be happy. TRULEY HAPPY. The word teaches you that if you are having a bad day then set aside time to pray and meditate in Gods word. Allow the word to affect your thoughts and emotions. Handle your day Gods way!

I listened to you for 17 minutes and 59 secs. So please listen to me for another second …YOU ARE CAUSE! If we ever get to meet I can demonstrate that to you to your complete satisfaction. Love, Peter

  5. You are such a positive person, Jonathan. You have so much knowledge about things and life. You are really working hard to help make people successful. I am sure you have helped thousands of people around the world.

  6. Rae Witt says:

It truly amazes me how such a young man can share so much wisdom, truth and sincerity!

Thank-you, you are such a blessing.

  7. Jonathan, I feel glad to be associated with you. I am a Catholic priest. St. Thomas Aquinas said that God is the unmoved Mover.; that in tracing back causality one comes to God as the uncaused Cause. There is a hierarcy of being; man is higher than the animals, plants, and inatimate life. Yet, we have responsibility to care for and cultivate, and use wisely God’s good creation. I am right with you in saying that those who have and/or know how to accumulate wealth have an obligation to share that knowledge with others. I think that leaders should inspire and empower those whom they lead and not “enslave” them by foistering a “victim” mentality upon them.
    Thanks and let’s share again.

  8. Lucas says:

All I can say is thank you for providing another piece to the puzzle.

  9. Bravo Jonathan, Tremendous message.
The more we hear, write, and speak about the positive side
of the human race as a whole, the more positive results we’re going to see coming down the boulevard of life.
I’m proud to be associated with you & your organisation.
    Thanks again My Friend.

Great video as always Jonathan. Well, yes I tend to identify myself with other things.
This makes so much sense … when your identity is in relation to something else, you lose sight of “who you really are?”
Wow…amazing when you think about it.

  14. Steve Irving says:

Excellent, JB. I truly feel that it is all of our obligations as leaders to ride the wavelength of the Real and always be connected to the positivity in ALL things and ALL people.

As Network marketers we are constantly reminded of it–what happens when we are selfish and are not giving with Love and Servitude? we are rejected by Life.

As leaders, we cannot be Ego-centric only dig deeper and deeper within our true Self to discover the vibrations at all life travels along–and we are always rewarded when we radiate Love and Awareness.

As we network marketers work in our Niches, let us always be reminded that our “niche” is actually our island of hope, love, and servitude–our Niche is our fulfillment those that seek enlightenment from the troubled world.

Through our meditation, we will hear the hearts of those that seek Us as we hear our own. And when we serve them unselfishly, we will be greatly rewarded by the endless abundance of the Universe.

    Thanks JB.

  20. Beautiful message, Jonathan. Thank you for sharing…even though some of us know and hear these messages over and over again, the mind that is looking externally for answers can take over at any time to the degree we are not aware, and start building up and feeding ideas about how wonderful we are and how we important we are because of what we do or do not do…and or our particular set of achievements….thanks for pointing out the simplicity and value of leadership that relies on appreciation, gratitude, sincerity and humility…and that these grow from us recognising that we are simply facets of one source energy..

  21. I a agree totally in what you said about a new breed of leaders. The old guard had their way of attempting to make others feel small.
Today a new breed of leader is emerging, one that chooses and intends to help others achieve their dreams.

  22. The power of my joy is in direct porportion to the peace within myself, which is a product of mind and body unity. Connecting my body to my original mind, or as you might refer to it, the infinite mind, is the first step. Usually my body just takes over everything I do: get up, get some coffee, go to work. JB, you have hit it off with your awareness that comes through meditative practices. That is the key to overcoming the body’s control, allowing the mind to speak to one’s inner self. Happiness is rooted in listening to that inner mind.

    Keep it coming.

  23. I appreciate your success, humility and leadership in continually sharing the love and adding value.

  24. I am happy to see you deal with this facet of leadership – our ego – and to understand how so very importrant service and humility are to our own humanity. I work in the real world where people put in hours to bring home some money and cannot see beyond that. How do we help them see beyond to having no ego when they look at you owning a car, maybe being married, having children, having a job, etc. and ‘envy’ you because who you are and what you have? Have’s and the Have Nots!!!

New era of ‘leadership’ has a history of leaders with agendas.

I agree about leadership of ‘humility’ and ‘servitude’. It is easy to say from the mountaintop – more challenging when you are in the valley or the desert.

Thank you, Jonathan, from the bottom of my heart in sharing such an awesome video and in seeing the true meaning of leadership.

JB- great video you know 20 years ago I was going though what at the time I called a bad time in my life turned out to be the beginning of the rest of my life. Anyway I learned the things that you where talking about but I am so glad that you reminded me of them today it was just what I needed to hear now. You see you only get exactly what need when you need it. It would have been great to have gotten it at your age but for me I needed to to be a little older.
    Anyway thanks again.

  32. Rob Odell says:

I’ve been searching in my brain recently to try to figure out what it is exactly I am trying to accomplish and why it has been so hard for me to wrap my brain around these big ideas. It is evident from this video that spending so much time thinking about the me’s, my’s and I’s that there has been little time focused on other people and the world we live in.
This morning I read that “The quality of your life is a direct result of how you relate to and love others.” If there were ever a time when I think that would be relevant, it would be not only to solidify the ideas of this video in my mind but also as a mantra for anybody who wants to be a leader for a better future.
Thanks for helping push my brain in a new more positive and aware direction!!

Everything you said is true once you get your ego out of the way things just happen. Its nice to see that you are putting it out there and sharing what life is truly about. Its not what we have in life its what we give and and create to make this world a better place.

  41. Hey Jonathan,

What an inspirational and so true message you put out today. I’m living the way you just spoke of, and since I have put my ego to rest, my world has changed dramatically!

I’m a loving person who loves all people and life is so much easier now that I”m able to express that point without worrying what people will think of me.

Bless you man for being that leader and please continue to post these videos because they are game changers for people’s business but more importantly, their lives.

JB – great video with such a powerful message. For some time now, I have been immersed in several of the personal development books you recommended … I actually bought them ALL, just haven’t read them all yet … and what you are saying today in the video is the message in each and every one of these great books. True self awareness and a realization of who we really are, what we are truly capable of, living outside of our ego, and seeing life as it really exists without the limiting and false beliefs of our “mind filter.” I wish the leaders of not only our country, but all countries, could understand and lead from this same perspective. Imagine what an awesome world it would be for everyone! Thank you for your mentorship and for sharing your thoughts, wisdom and love with us all today. Truly inspirational, my friend!!

One more thought…… In his book “The Power of Intention” Wayne Dyer talks about Connectors and the traits of a Connector.

Jonathan, I think this post exemplifies this to a “T” I don’t have the book in front of me, but what I remember is that a Connector is a person who is connected to source and is eternally grateful for every situation that occurs in their life because it’s all connected to the bigger picture and the result it is to bring.

This kind of a leader would have to be humble and there would be no room at all for ego. Since reading this book I focus on being grateful for even the not so good things that happen on a day to day basis, and I am striving to be that kind of a leader.

Can you tell, I love this post!

The combination of Ego coupled with success is something that has been ingrained in my mind by society for such a long time, probably my entire life.

As a 40 year old that is just beginning to notice my wings, it is a hard mindset to overcome. My mind naturally swings the other way. So for a long time I could not imagine myself as a leader. You are absolutely right. A huge ego can actually get in the way of meaningful success.

Jonathan…. It’s almost uncanny how relevant your posts always are in what I’m doing in my life at the time. I was just given the book “Launching a Leadership Revolution” by Chris Brady and Orrin Woodward. I am going to do a series on Leadership on my blog over the next year and your post has given me some really good insight on the subject.

You are so right about being given a gift when it comes to leadership.

Teddy Roosevelt has a great leadership quote, it’s one of my favorites and goes like this:

“We need leaders of inspired idealism, leaders to whom are granted great vision, who dream greatly and strive to make their dreams come true; who can kindle the people with the fire from their own burning souls”

You are that kind of leader Jonathan. A leader has to inspire his followers and start a fire within themselves.

I love when I see your emails come in with a new post and video because they are always a great way to start your day!

Thanks once again for your wisdom and perspective on this very important topic, Leadership!

  46. Atlas says:

Mr Budd you have done it again, the truth always rings true. Your correct in all that you say, our worlds current leaders have led us into a numb state of which most are unaware. People of earth no longer have our connection with nature, they stripped us of this through the dark ages with the book burnings, and the murders of our true planetary leaders of a previous age. The people of earth need to wake up to what is, and rediscover our connection with the isness. True reality has been veiled by jobs, fake education, media, and the brainwashing of our society to turn us into passive observers who are at the whim of the powerful elite who are few in numbers. There needs to be a shift, a shift in the way we live, a shift in the way we treat our fellow man and women, and a shift in consciousness. Earth is going through its changes as it has done before like the galactic alignment which is going to occur on 21/12/2012 which happens every 25,800 years. I fear its to late and the powers that be have almost convinced the people of earth that this is it. This is life, i believe that the changes that are coming our way will force us to evolve if we are not already on that path, and for those who are to far gone will experience great pain. It is as you say, a time for revolutionary leadership but it must come from the people we must learn to trust ourselves and each other, and get away from all the distractions, there so clever in there manipulation.
Anyway thanks for waking me up there its easy to be misguided and led astray your message has just given me what i needed to move one step closer to what i should of done years ago. Namesta
