My friends,
Mr. Jonathan Budd here today, with a pretty different and special video to address a topic I think needs to be addressed. And Also, to say sorry because I was wrong. If you’re a real leader, you know when you’re wrong… and you say sorry. So that’s what I’m doing today.
But to make up for it, I’m going to deliver some AWESOME value to everyone in the industr about the MLM LAUNCH game that is played, very often, and will continue to be played very often throughout our lives.
You see, they are FUN times, when lots of money can be made, or lots of time can be wasted. The choice is YOURS as long as you know what really matters… and continue to stay FOCUSED on it. The intention of this video is to touch upon that subject some more… and de mystify a lot of what happens during big MLM launches.
Here’s the training video… (and my apology)
I hope you enjoy it. Next time I’ll take my own advice and ‘Defuse My Emotion’ before I start tweeting! haha, oh man… what characters we are sometimes.
If you feel like sharing this with your friends on Twitter, cause you think they’ll enjoy me admitting I was wrong!… then do so now:
See you all soon.
Yours In Truth,
Jonathan Budd

Hey Jonathan this is great because I think that there is not higher greatness in aleader than humbleness, honesty, and the ability to be open not only to teach but to learn, great source and we all learn from everyday experiences.
I agree with what you said Jonathan.
Nothing good froms being negative. You don’t attract the people you want into your group. I’m glad you caught yourself and made clear what you really think not just your understandable annoyance at being stalked and lied about. (Who do they think you are…. Royalty? A superstar? Guess it’s a compliment.)
The real value comes from our followers but it takes a good leader to attract followers. That means we all need to grow and learn so we have more and more value to share.
Thanks for sharing.
Joanthan, I always love the messages in your videos. This one in particular because I wholeheartedly agree “The True Value is YOU”. I have taken your advise and am building my list. Thank you for all you do to guide us. Dolores
Well done Jonathan, yes we all have a choice as to how we see situations in our life, that’s the way God made it, Steven Covey brought this out too.
I like what you said too about creating your own assett and that it’s not about the company, it’s about us. I am learning all of this now as I am realising the value of my growing list. Luv your stuff man…
Jonathan, you have really hit the nail on its head. The data in this video is definitely the fundamentals of marketing. It really takes someone who is confident and capable to know when they make a mistake and courageous to admit it so that others will benefit from the lesson. One word about emotion, there are some very positive emotions like happiness, strong interest, exhilaration & serenity. These emotions help you, it is the mis-emotions or rather the irrational emotions that do not help you, like anger, antagonism, fear, apathy or unexpressed resentment. Thought it would be nice to know that we have positive emotions as well. I am new to MLMmastermind system but this video really helped me to focus on what is important, you will hear more from me in the near future; a new future. Jan
Hey Jonathan, spot on and congrats for standing up and apologizing. It’s sometimes tough not to get caught up in the hype, but like you mentioned, You make the opportunity great, not the company. Every company has successful leaders and they will be successful in any company. Anyway, Great vid, Cheers!
Wow! Great video! Awesome in the latter 2/3. Thanks. Nat
There are every time people how using other for they success. what can you do. Nothing but it doesn’t matter
because they will be all the time after you…
Jonathan Thank you for every thing you do you ROCK your training is awesome Thank you again my friend
Nice post, Jonathan. I had posted a slightly-more “diplomatic” response on my Facebook page a couple days ago that, essentially, asked MLM-ers on social media to “lighten up” a little and to spend their time building relationships rather than hyping products or network marketing plans. It didn’t do any good, of course, because most people don’t follow the principles of Attraction Marketing (give first, get last), but I certainly felt better!
Your apology, mixed with good counsel, was timely and useful, and I appreciate all that you do.
All the best,
Dan
Sorry to hear about your youtube channel Jonathan. I have had that happen and it can be very discouraging after all the hard work you have put into it. And your channel has been one of my favrite channels!
Issac
Right on JB, I love you man! You are the real deal and if ANYBODY has a doubt in their mind who you are as a person, they are blinded by FEAR. Keep on doing what you do big guy. You rock!
Good stuff JB! The same thing happened with me with Efusjon.
Hey! I just joined Efusjon! what happened with you?
Thanks Jonathan. I am just putting my foot in the water. Though my knowledge level is at 1/2 out of 10, I do understand the concept of branding yourself and getting a personal following, thanks to the very first of your training videos. You are so “out there” I’m sure losing your cool over something that happens to you all the time and with which you’re saturated is understandable. The incredible thing is that you feel the need to apologize and can turn it into a very helpful training as well. Thanks, Linda
Leaders are visible…and valuable.
I like your style, my man. Rock and roll.

J-Boogie,
You hit it right on the dot my friend. I am just coming back into this industry from having taken a hiatus from it because I was fed up with pestering friends, family, and whoever was standing next to me in a grocery line about my “opportunity”. I was tired of being the low guy on the totem pole when some high mucky-muck got paid a bonus from another company to switch allegiances and bring his core team with him.
I was actually through with this industry until I found your training my friend. This was when I learned what Network Marketing, Social Media Mastery, and Online Lead Generation is and how to actually build a business. I also realized that my business isn’t the product that I am promoting, their amazing compensation plan, or anthing else about the company. I learned that the only business that I will ever have in this industry that I have complete conrol over is…. ME, John Chatman Inc.
People follow people, not companies. In 2-3 months the next big juice, phone plan, gel, or whatever will be out and a portion of the team will more than likely follow suit so it is important to give your team a reason to follow you. Make sure that you are building your BRAND, your VALUE. This is the way to make a living and create an incredible lifestyle in this industry.
On a personal and sincere note: Thanks for blazing the trail my friend and giving so much back. It has and will continue to make a difference in my life and the lives that I touch.
To Our Success,
John Chatman
Jonathan,
I appreciate you and your work and let me say I fully endorse the concept of building a list and your own brand. But ….
(Isn’t there always a ‘but?’)
There is only one reason to join an MLM. Only one – reliable, long-term, leveraged, residual income.
Otherwise, we with large lists, why would we want to divide commissions with 7 or more upline people? We are far better off selling our own products or working in 1 level affiliate programs or joint ventures.
It is the possibility of reliable, long-term, leveraged, residual income that makes an MLM attractive.
That said, MOST companies simply do NOT have the business fundamentals to deliver on such a promise. For example, to think that you can achieve it with a company that offers merely an “income vehicle” with a product that can be found elsewhere for less money is foolhardy.
Companies built with weak products, weak management , flawed compensatin plans, etc., simply cannot survive long term. The majority or reps will leave as soon the buzz dies down, assuming they could create any buzz to begin with.
The good news is that there are lots of people that are not in the six months in a deal and move on crowd. They are the kind of people who ask first not whether they can make money in a particular “deal,” but whether they should promote a particular because it offers real value to all participants at every level.
To those people, I say, “Yes. Build your list, by all ethical means, but don’t be seduced by any new hi-buzz companies (and I see a number of them right now), but instead, study what the fundamentals have to be in place for a company if you with to achieve something really worthwhile – a reliable, long-term, leveraged, residual income.”
Folks, companies that can really provide that are much harder to find. But they do exist and they are more than worth it to find.
Anything less than that, sell something else!

The good news is that there are lots of people that are not in the six-months-per-deal-and-move-on crowd. They are the kind of people who ask first not whether they can make money in a particular “deal,” but whether they *should* promote a particular MLM, because it offers real value to all participants at every level, because it can last long term and benefit not just the “get in first” group but also everyone who comes later.
(I wrote my Special Report / Book to teach people the “12 Critical Success Factors that identify such companies.)
To those people, I say, “Yes. Build your list, by all ethical means, brand yourself, and don’t be seduced by all the new hi-buzz companies (that make you think you will make it big because you got in early (and I see a number of them right now).”
My preference would be for you to stay out of MLM altogether unless you are willing to study what fundamentals have to be in place for a company to achieve something really worthwhile – a reliable, long-term, leveraged, residual income by delivering real value. Learn to tell the difference between what’s real and what is not.
Companies that can really provide that are much harder to find. But they do exist and they are more than worth it to find. Hold out for something real, something where the truth is good enough, something that elevates people, something that stands the test of time.
Anything less than that, sell something else to your list!
Raise the bar on what we will accept in a company and we raise the bar for the whole industry.

Making the world a little bit better today, because…we were here. My company motto and something you do over and over again. Thank you.
Great Value. My company Motto is, “let’s make the world a little bit better today, because… we were here”. This is what you do over and over again. Thank you.
Jonathan, Dear, don’t make yourself so much Headache..hahha…
WE all are “humans” in the Process of Learning in this Life .
There are always “SOME” WHO… have on everything to picking but not on them self ever .

You are O>K> !! hahha
You are so a WONDERFUL SOUL and more easy and honest as others “Gurus” !!
JUST TAKE A DEEP BREATH , DEAR,
and.. sometimes SOMEONE has to say “some’ where others take all “BS” quiet …hahha
Forgive People … this World is OVERLOAD with Information and Gurus and “Money Hunting Actions” BLIND !
Wish you a wonderful Weekend ..keep it STRESS FREE!!!!!
sYLVIA
PS. I see no Reason … that You truly have to apologize fro your “Mind”
I think you are right on the money. I am tired of the hype and am listening to a number of guys like you who keep insisting that people, if they want to be successful business owners online have to focus on building their list instead of being product junkies.
Wow.. Had to just listen and watch this video again… Geez, how the second time around gave me a couple of “ah-ha” moments….
THANKS boss……
RedFox….
Thanks again Jonathan…way to stay grounded (for the most part). Staying in balance emotionally is a constant vigil of truly living in the “now” isn’t it? It is an extremely freeing way to live but our “learned” tendencies (perhaps natural) are always trying to creep in. Remember this principle: Light diffuses the darkness…the darkness is always ready to appear whenever the light is not shining. I am very happy to retweet this video post. Blessings my friend!
I appreciate the comment my friend!! Keep rocking…
Great video Jonathan… You’re the real deal… unlike other so-called mentors, you don’t sugarcoat the truth and you also spill the beans on what REALLY works in network marketing…
Your Top Producers Formula is gold…. The first couple of chapters are my favorite…. Thanks Jonathan on behalf of my family and I for setting us free…
I’m currently reading “I Am That”…. AWESOME stuff..!!!!
Jay “Red Fox” Ortega
haha, wow. I know you are a warrior… cause if you can withstand I Am That you can just about take anything in life!
Nothing comes close to learning about our TRUE nature… nothing.
Rock on my friend.
JOnathan
Sorry, I forgot to proofread. I meant. Reap “His”
REWARDS.!
Billy
Awesome, Billy! I’m so glad you added this. People get so wrapped up in their OWN power, they forget where it REALLY comes from…. Him. (I loved your proofread..)
Jonathan,
As a christian, I enjoy your openess and freshness you bring to MLM.
With the transparency in your business approach,
and the wiillingness to share your success, God works in the realm. Therefore, as long, as you continue to share your success, you will always ream “his” REWARDS!.
My goal is to have 1400 in my downline by November. PLEASE, help me get there.
With blessings,
Billy
Jonathan, Why not directly address associate integrity and ethics in their recruiting, promotion and communications’ tactics rather than any particular company in this type of message?
You have some great points about company buzz, hype and cycles etc., and it feels like the most important piece is to remind people about integrity and “truth in advertising.”
I FULLY agree with your teaching here. It’s SO TRUE. The waters in MLM “beneath the surface” is not as it seems AT ALL above the surface. Wheeling and dealing left and right with certain reps IS THE NORM…
And there is PRE-PLANNED hype, emotion driven launch strategy that is run in phases. You need to be aware of this at some point in your career. Or you’ll be caught in one after the other again and again…
Unfortunately, I think MANY people won’t “get this” today. Those few that DO will be here with us in the industry next year in a better position than today.
Take this message to heart EVEN IF (or especially if) Jonathan pissed you off with this message… that means you NEED to hear this faster…
Wishing YOU Success… REAL SUCCESS!
Franco Gonzalez
P.S. Jonathan – this post is a TIMELY and GREAT message that help lots of people if they take it in… THANK YOU once again brother!
Jonathan,
Your are a great person and so down to earth I have never meant you but I feel like I have known you and I always read what you have to say and it makes my DAY… Thanks for all you do !!!
Thanks Jonathan, I needed to hear that. I’m one that gets carried away with the hype. And I have lost a lot of money that way. Now that I have recognized that in myself maybe the money flowing out can stop.
Great post Jonathan! I actually just put up an interesting post on my blog about autoresponders discussing a guy I met who had a huge mlm downline years ago, but lost it all because the company failed. Wouldn’t have been a problem if he had maintained a contact list, but he didn’t so he was completely out. Ouch!
Anyway, again great stuff, and a great characteristic in being able to admit when you’re wrong.
You are so clear … And make me smile
Appreciate you,
Andrea
Again: I love it when you bring things to their ESSENCE! You took all the wrapping away presenting us the NAKED TRUTH. By fare i know not nearly a tip of the iceberg from the things you know about MLM but these basics you touched here crossed my path with the first videos i watched from you and your business partners (How lucky i am!). Btw i like the phrase “Authentic Marketing”. It fits perfectly to your recent post
