I know I know… you’re probably thinking this might be another “airy fairy” marketing lesson or something like that right? Where I talk all about LOVING each other, and loving your prospects, and yada yada yada.

For some reason, your videos always stop and buffer…takes about 20 min to watch a 15 min video. I have a very high speed connection, and don’t have problems with other videos. What software are you using to create and post these? If I’m having problems, I would imagine that many of your other viewers are too.

as it does not show any ads. It clearly shows it’s number 2 datacenter wide. It was never #1 as you claimed.
I suspect that it didn’t “shoot up” as you claim, but rather replaced a pre-existing nested listing. That is very common for sites that haven’t achieved any site links algorithmically.
I’m willing to bet that post will be replaced in the nested #2 within a few weeks.
I assure you Google is not reading that # of tweets widget. You do understand that would be easy to fake, right? Google is smarter than that.
If anything it would be the BACKLINKS caused by the retweets. But I don’t think this is the case because Twitter applies NO FOLLOW to all outbound links. Matt Cutts has clearly gone on record saying NO FOLLOW links are not calculated in the rankings.
Clearly SEO is not important to my identity, because I have left no information that identifies me.
I’m not saying google is measuring the tweet meme icon my friend. That’s not what I was saying at all…
What I’m saying is google is measuring the RESPONSIVENESS of the community, seen by how many people
on twitter are TWEETING a certain topic of post, which can be measured through backlinks and many other
things.
If you follow google’s algorithm, this also makes the most sense, as GOOGLE is always looking to communities
and trying to gauge the interest level of a community when it determines how it ranks content.
Many of my sources have said they have turned their eyes towards social media, and are developing
abilities to gauge community interest level of content. I find it Ironic that this post just so happened
to be a perfect example of that.
In any case, it was posted only a few weeks ago, and google for SOME REASON find it relevant enough
to replace the old #2 post with this new one, and have it stick up there.
Considering the most obvious fact of this post’s popularity and syndication of the community, it seems
like there is most definitely a relationship there. As with everything in SEO, time tells, and then changes
everything anyway.

Not to be mean, but this video is complete garbage. Your post was not ranking #1. What you were seeing is called PERSONALIZED SEARCH! Google changed the results based on your browser history. The 2 visits means that it has tracked 2 visits from you in that browser. Log out of your Google account and you will see the results will change.
Google does not read your number of retweets gadget. Do you realize how easy that would be to fake.
You’ve made a lot of erroneous assumptions in this video. Throwing the word “algorithm” a bunch of times does not make you an SEO.
I know you say you are trying to help people, but what you have done is spread around a lot of SEO disinformation.

It’s the post I was just talking about.
It climbed to the top of Google in a matter of weeks for my
name, and it was soley based off the syndication that took
place in the networks, as there is absolutely no other variable
to be accounted for.
Sometimes I just “get things” and this was one of those times
i clearly saw what relationship was at play.
For your information, I happen to run several massive SEO
projects and while I’m hardly the SEO expert myself, I’m also
lucky enough to have some good insight into the industry.
